Pedro Campout
Camp Strake
January 29th - 30th 2000

| As in previous
years, in January Troop 202 went to Camp Strake, near Conroe, TX for
the Pedro Campout. This campout was specially designed for the
new Scouts who have joined the Troop to introduce them to how campouts
are organized, use of the troops equipment, how patrols use the Patrol
Method for organization and instruction for the Boy Scout and Tenderfoot
Ranks. The parents of these new Scouts were also invited to
participate to gain a better understanding of how the Troop is
organized, how campouts are run and the important role and
contribution they can make. 21
Scouts and 19 Adults attended this campout. All 14 new Pedros
successfully earned their Boy Scout Rank at this campout.
